Quiet & peaceful atmosphere with light music. Like the vibes. Is a good place to view the sunrise of Kundasang with a good breakfast. Will come again & likely to stay overnight for our next trip.

If you’re in Kundasang and looking for both great food and a scenic stay, look no further than The Terrace Kinabalu Cafe and The Hill Kinabalu . Both the establishments belong to the same operator. The cafe serves up proper Western and Chinese dishes that really hit the spot. Marsha’s Roti Kahwin with soft boiled eggs is a must-try; the kaya is aromatic and not overly sweet, paired with a generous slab of butter that’s just heavenly. The nasi goreng is tasty and well-balanced, Toby’s Nasi Lemak fried chicken is super good, the fried chicken is so aromatic, while the Wah Tan Hor (stir fried kuey teow with gravy) is incredibly good, with silky egg gravy and perfectly charred noodles. Lastly, the fries ..hmmm, one of the best i’ve eaten. The ambiance? Easily one of the best in Kundasang; warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxing meal. Huge thanks to Toby, Marsha, Andrew and the team for their wonderful hospitality! Right next door is their homestay, The Hill Kinabalu, which offers breathtaking mountain views and a beautifully landscaped compound filled with flowers and lush greenery, it’s truly picturesque. The rooms are clean, breezy, and comfortable, making it a peaceful retreat in the cool highlands. A perfect spot for both food and stay, highly recommended!

Friendly service and affordable price. Quite nice when asking for special and they did proceed it. Like honey lemon but mix with tea. Nice place to chill and they did warn us about the warm place it recommend to move the table to cool area. The price per pax is just 20MYR above with drinks and food. They will help you for the menu if feel confused or hard to choice

This place was recommended to me by a friend who had his breakfast here a few days before I arrived in Kundasang. Parking was easy and the view was stunning. We tried the Toby’s Nasi Lemak, Orang Putih Breakfast Plate, Marsha’s Roti Kahwin with Soft-Boiled Eggs, and Teh C Peng. The portion was big, and they all tasted great. Definitely worth the price. I would return here for the food and drinks, ambience and friendly staff.
